Reece’s Transformation

Starting a weight loss journey, or, more accurately, a life improvement journey is hard for anyone. Condition 1 member Reece Pridgen joined our studio in June of 2022 to jumpstart his life improvement journey. Since joining, Reece says, “training at Condition 1 Combat Center has given [him] the motivation [he] was lacking to improve [his] diet, lower [his] stress levels, and focus [his] mind on things that are truly important.” With this increase in motivation and Condition 1’s classes, Reece has lost 40 pounds already and still plans to lose more!

Condition 1 Combat Center is rooted in Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and kickboxing. All of these disciplines help emphasize not only self-defense but also cardio. In addition, each area of training focuses on different areas of improvement. Krav Maga teaches students to be combat-ready for real-world situations, while Jiu-Jitsu aims to improve grappling and wrestling styles. Muay Thai and kickboxing are similar in that they both concentrate on striking and kicking movements. No matter what discipline you’re looking to train in, we have a class for you. Our experienced instructors are here to help improve your self-defense skills, find a workout that works for you, and teach you about self-discipline when it comes to your body and your surroundings.

“I joined the Condition 1 team at the beginning of June weighing 287 pounds. As of October 1st, I have lost 40lbs and made massive improvements on my cardio. Training at Condition 1 has given me the motivation I was lacking to improve my diet, lower my stress levels, and focus my mind on things that are truly important. I still have a long way to go in improving my overall health but I hope to see that 225 mark on the scale by the end of the year.”

GETTING YOUR HEART RATE UP

All our classes are great cardio options because we get your heart rate pumping and your body moving. Reece prefers the discipline of Jiu-Jitsu and rarely misses our grappling classes, creating the consistency he needed on his life-improvement journey. High-intensity cardio along with muscle-building exercises are great ways to burn calories. However, our classes also engage you mentally by training you to plan your counterattack moves or think about a dangerous situation you could encounter. Combining all three of these factors gives you a cardio session along with effective and usable knowledge.
